Very well written and thought out article. Jesus told his followers to take care of those who needed help. To love God with every part of our being, and to love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves. Jesus didn't say pay more taxes to the Romans, and let them look after the poor and needy. That would have worked out really bad for the poor and needy, just as it does in todays society. Jesus put the onus on each one of us in Matthew 25:31-46, to be treating the poor and needy as if it was Jesus Himself needing our help.
